HRA has provided a variety of cultural resources services to Tacoma Public Utilities for the Cushman Hydroelectric Facility. Initially, HRA developed a Historic Properties Management Plan (HPMP) that included recommendations for preservation and treatment of the facilities that are eligible for the National Register of Historic Places within the Cushman Hydroelectric District. Subsequently, HRA has performed a series of evaluation and mitigation services associated with proposed alterations to the facility, including historical documentation, assessments of effects of various improvement projects, and HAER documentation.
