When Brad Bowden joined HRA in 2004, he was eager to return to Oregon where he had attended graduate school. However, there was a challenge: HRA didn’t have an office in Oregon, and this was well before the days of remote work. Undeterred, Brad won several large projects in Washington and Oregon and moved his setup from his home office to a small office on Mississippi Avenue. From there, he continued to grow the business by hiring and mentoring staff, cultivating strong client relationships leading to local work, and continuing to oversee several large projects. Beginning in 2010, Brad served as HRA’s president for 8 years, expertly ensuring HRA had a strong fiscal footing during fluctuating periods of growth. Brad brings so many skills to HRA, but most notable are his invaluable business acumen and his mentorship. In every role he has held, Brad has always been a leader who is generous with his time. He actively and readily shares his knowledge and expertise with colleagues, enabling a collaborative work environment and professional advancement of those around him. His passion for his job and HRA is an inspiration to us all!
