On behalf of the Nisqually Indian Tribe, HRA produced an interpretive plan for Nisqually State Park located near Eatonville, Washington. The interpretive plan presents a vision for a comprehensive interpretive program at the state park and emphasizes presenting Nisqually community voices throughout park interpretation. HRA’s interpretive planners conducted numerous site visits to the park and the Nisqually Reservation where they facilitated interpretive planning sessions and scoping meetings to obtain tribal government and community input on future interpretation and visitor experiences. The interpretive plan guides all aspects of interpretation at the park and provides an important resource and starting point for collaboration between the Nisqually Indian Tribe and Washington State Parks.
