As mitigation for an adverse effect to the Cle Elum Dam as a result of the Cle Elum Pool Raise and Cle Elum Fish Passage projects, the Bureau of Reclamation executed a Memorandum of Agreement with Washington’s Department of Archaeology and Historic Preservation that called for a Historic American Engineering Record (HAER) Level II documentation for the dam. HRA completed data gathering, field studies, and additional research at the Reclamation archives in Yakima, Washington, before preparing a draft and final HAER Level II submission.
