Michele Punke is a Principal Archaeologist in our Portland, Oregon office and an Oregon Regional Co-Manager. She joined HRA in 2013 and specializes in geoarchaeology and the paleoenvironment of the Pacific Northwest. Her favorite thing about working at HRA is that the company “operates as a team at all levels. . . . We manage to interweave our varied disciplines and skill sets to provide the best product possible for every project we work on. I always have a team of incredible peers to support me if I have a question I can’t answer or a problem I can’t solve. Additionally, HRA is not shy about reaching out to Tribes, communities, agencies, or other CRM firms for support or information on specific topics in order to ensure all resources are considered and appropriate data are integrated into HRA products. Cultural resources do not exist in a vacuum, so the more community engagement we can do, the better representatives of the discipline we are.”
