HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGER – SEATTLE OFFICE

Jennifer holds a BA in Anthropology from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, and an MA in Archaeology from the University of Reading. She has worked with HRA since 2006 and in April 2016, after working increasingly in a safety-related capacity, transitioned from Project Archaeologist to Health and Safety Coordinator. Jennifer maintains current First Aid/CPR/AED training and is certified and current in 40-hour Hazardous Waste Operations (HAZWOPER) training. She also holds a certificate from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) in Safety and Health Leadership in General Industry.

Jennifer has overseen and/or participated in numerous CRM projects with a range of safety concerns, from deep construction trenching to potential exposure to hazardous materials. She now also coordinates, prepares, and delivers safety training and resources to HRA staff. When she is not preparing health and safety plans or handing out personal protective equipment, Jennifer enjoys cycling, reading, and learning which plants will (and will not) grow in her shady yard.
