Galena Creek Interpretive Plan and Signage

Under contract with the U.S. Forest Service, HRA prepared an interpretive plan and interpretive exhibit content for a series of interpretive signs located on the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest near Reno, Nevada. The project involved close collaboration with the Tribal Historic Preservation Officers from the Washoe Tribe of Nevada and California and the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony. The signs feature Washoe language elements and provide information about Washoe history, Indigenous land use, and cultural resource protection.
