FREMONT BRIDGE APPROACH REPLACEMENTS

HRA completed cultural resources investigations and mitigation for the proposed replacement of the approaches to the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP)-listed Fremont Bridge in Seattle, Washington. HRA prepared Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) consultation documentation, conducted documentary research, and undertook field investigations to determine the potential effects of the project upon the bridge and adjacent properties. HRA historians also completed Historic American Engineering Record (HAER) documentation of the bridge. The results of HRA’s work were used to mitigate the adverse effects of the replacement on this NRHP property.
