For Women’s History Month, HRA is featuring some of our women employees who contribute to all aspects of the company!

Lauren Waldroop joined HRA in 2020 as an Architectural Historian. Her previous experience within CRM was in Florida working on a variety of projects, including cultural resources surveys, historic resources inventories, Historic American Engineering Record (HAER) documentation packages, and environmental impact statements (EIS). Lauren has experience leading field crews for large and small survey projects, large-format photography for HAER packages, archival work, research, writing, and editing. Her special interests are in historic resources survey, intangible cultural heritage, and adaptive reuse of historic buildings.

Lauren’s favorite projects at HRA include the Marymoor Park Cultural Landscape Report and the Cle Elum Dam HAER, both of which are currently under review. Additionally, Lauren’s favorite fieldwork included hydroelectric projects in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, as well as a U.S. Coast Guard base along the Columbia River.

In her free time, Lauren enjoys hiking, motorcycle rides, and spending time with her cats at home.
