Bosque Redondo Memorial Interpretive Plan

HRA prepared a long-range interpretive plan for the Bosque Redondo Memorial at Fort Sumner Historic Site on behalf of the New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs. A member of the International Coalition of Sites of Conscience, Bosque Redondo Memorial interprets the forcible removal of the Navajo and Mescalero Apache from their homelands and their internment on the Bosque Redondo Reservation. The project involved collaboration with representatives of the Navajo Nation, Mescalero Apache Tribe, and New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs to develop a plan that guides all aspects of interpretive programing, outreach, and exhibit development at the site.
