HRA is expanding! In addition to our new office in Nashville, we are opening an office in Albany, NY. Jackie Gonzales, PhD, who has been with HRA since 2016, will head the Albany office. HRA has extensive experience conducting research at the New York State Archives and Library in Albany, New York City-area repositories, and local libraries throughout the state. We are also experienced in filing Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) requests with a wide variety of state agencies. HRA has worked in New York State for more than 15 years, conducting in-depth historical research and analysis related to contaminated properties and waterways for CERCLA contribution and cost-recovery claims. We have also worked on Native American treaty issues in New York, and we prepared an ethnographic study for Women’s Rights National Historical Park in Seneca Falls.
Jackie earned her PhD in history at University of Albany-SUNY, and she has worked in HRA’s Seattle office for the last three years. She is excited to return to Albany, where she will continue to do research and writing for environmental litigation, administrative histories, and historical interpretation.
