We are thrilled to announce the hiring of Ashley Bouknight, who will head a new HRA office in Nashville, Tennessee! Ashley earned her PhD in public history from Middle Tennessee State University and her MA in public history from the University of South Carolina. She joins HRA with over ten years of experience as a museum consultant and activist for various cultural institutions and neighborhood history projects in the Southeast. Most recently, she served as the curator for a presidential historic site and the instructional designer for a museum magnet elementary school. Her expertise includes collections management theory, intersectionality and inclusivity in museums, and community outreach. Ashley will help us expand our interpretive services, develop projects in the Southeast, and strengthen our commitment to inclusive history and stakeholder collaboration.
