Working for a private client, HRA historians completed detailed research of local city, county and state records in Salt Lake City to identify the location and ownership of numerous historic smelter sites in the Salt Lake Valley. The historians then prepared a summary report of the operational and ownership history for each site to determine if the client had ever owned or operated the smelter.
