HRA recently submitted a multiple property submission for Seattle’s Olmsted Parks and Boulevards to the National Park Service. We received word that the submission was approved, and that Lake Washington Boulevard, connecting Montlake Boulevard to Seward Park, has been listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Architectural historians Natalie Perrin and Chrisanne Beckner, working closely with numerous stakeholders, spent many hours perfecting this submission, and its acceptance and NRHP listing are major accomplishments. Special thanks to the Friends of Seattle’s Olmsted Parks for their assistance with this project.
