Baker River Hydroelectric HAER Recordation

HRA recorded to Historic American Engineering Record (HAER) Level II standard five contributing elements of the Baker Hydroelectric Historic District through large-format photography and a narrative report. Photography featured views of individual structures as well as images showing the contributing resources in relation to other components of the district. In addition to photographs of current views, this HABS/HAER documentation included historical engineering drawings, historical photographs and a narrative report. The five contributing resources and associated elements documented were Channel Creek spawning beach 1 (1956–1957), Channel Creek spawning beach 2 (1959), Lower Baker barrier dam (1957), Lower Baker adult fish trap (1957),and Lower Baker barge (gulper) and pass-through pipeline (1959). The results of HRA’s work were used to mitigate adverse effects to the District.
