Archaeologist - Portland Office
Rik Workman has spent the last 10 years working as an archaeologist in the Pacific Northwest and specializes in small to large-scale field excavations, survey, monitoring, and artifact photography. He has worked on hundreds of projects, including pipelines, wind farms, transmission lines, and hydroelectric projects. His experience began with years of excavating in the Midwest and has been cultivated through his international work throughout Australia, Turkey, Greece, and the Pacific. Rik, and his brother, Race, started their journey in archaeology as children while exploring Adena, Hopewell, and Fort Ancient sites around their childhood home in south central Ohio. Beyond work, Rik enjoys fine art conservation, classical literature, international travel, and running competitively around the Portland area.
Rik holds a BA in Archaeology from The College of Wooster.
