We are happy to announce the re-addition of historian Bob Gardner to HRA’s Missoula office. Bob, who worked for HRA for a year previously, has returned to us after teaching for three years at the University of Minnesota’s Institute on Environment. He earned his PhD in history at Montana State University, where he focused on environmental history and history of technology and wrote a dissertation on tree planting as a technological fix for environmental and social problems on the Great Plains. Bob provides historical research and writing for projects involving water rights, Superfund sites, land management, and administrative history.
